On the afternoon of 24th July, 2018, the leaders of the State Ministry of Commerce, the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Ma'anshan Municipal Government, the Ma'anshan Business Bureau and the Ministry of Commerce and Circulation visited Gaubb Group to investigate the pilot work of logistics standardization and the progress of the project on the spot.
The research team inspected the operation and promotion of pallet standardization, including the stereoscopic warehouse system, automatic delivery system, stacker system, direct shuttle system, WCS/WMS integrated system and etc. The project of logistics standardization, logistics information platform construction, laboratory testing and equipment has been deeply investigated and understood.
After the approval of Document No. 103 of Ma Shang , Gaubb Group's " Stereo Warehouse Construction Project based on Logistics Standardization" has been included in Ma'anshan National Logistics Standardization Pilot Project, which mainly includes new warehouse construction, stereoscopic warehouse place and relating to the ancillary transport, purchase of facilities and equipment for logistics standardization. The project strictly follows the "Ma’anshan City Logistics Standardization Pilot Implementation Plan". (Secretariat of Ma Zheng  138). Requirements and contents of the pilot project implementation plan declared in the early stage, carry out project construction, and achieve the desired results.
1. The construction of logistics standardization project of Gaubb Group plays an exemplary role in Ma'anshan City. It has great significance in speeding up the construction of logistics standardization in Ma'anshan, reducing consumption and protecting the environment, improving the product quality of supply chain and promoting sustainable development strategy.
2. Promote the logistics standardization level of the whole industry, especially in the application level of standard pallet and its cyclic sharing level.
3. To realize the compatibility of logistics standards in the whole industry, with the promotion and application of standard pallet and cyclic sharing as the breakthrough point, the standardization level of related logistics facilities and equipment in the whole industry is promoted.
4. This project is the first one of domestic same industry.
Up to now, the project construction has achieved good social and economic benefits, reducing inventory and management costs; build new stereoscopic warehouses ,increasing storage space and facilities utilization rate by over 20%; reduce the pressure of funds, which pallets through leasing can reduce the company's cash flow input of over 3 million, with the start of the project greatly improve the inventory turnover rate and reduce inventory backlog of over 10 million; reduce the rate of logistics breakage, through promoting the standardization of pallets, which can realize the traction transportation of spare parts supply chain, from the down production line of spare parts to the up production line of products, realize the consistency of the traction transportation of spare parts, solve the problem of repeated handling in the process of spare parts logistics, and greatly reduce the rate of logistics breakage of spare parts; form the standard pallet cyclic sharing system, which can reduce the logistics personnel cost, cut down more than 30 people in stock, loading and unloading, and reduce the labor cost by over 1.2 million RMB; relying on the cross-regional and cross-industry layout of third-party pallet leasing enterprises, the utilization rate of standardized pallets will be increased by over 50%, and the "first in first out" management of goods will be effectively controlled.
In this survey, the Ministry of Commerce and other departments fully affirmed the pilot work of logistics standardization of Gaubb Group. The pilot project has clear objectives, prominent work focus, standardized project evaluation procedures, and has a strong role in leading and demonstrating. At the same time, the research team requests that we should continue to strengthen the tracking management of the pilot projects, ensure the progress of the pilot projects, do a good job in project acceptance and performance evaluation, and set up benchmarks for promoting the development of commercial logistics.
